UPDATE 5-19-2012: Our schedule has been light for the first part of the year; we've had work and family obligations, so we're using the time to write for the new CD. We have some great new songs that we can't wait to play, including "My Enemy, My Friend," "Beg For Me," and "Race to Oblivion." I wouldn't say our new songs are a radical departure from the "Trust Fall" songs, but rather a next step as we get more comfortable writing with each other. Our target release date will be late summer or early fall, we'll make sure to let you know. Have a great summer!
UPDATE 1-20-12: It's now 2012, and another wonderful holiday season is now behind us. We figure that since the world is ending this year, we shouldn't change a thing, right? We've been working on some new songs, and we'd like to release another EP this year. We have one we're really excited about called "Beg for Me," a straight-ahead four-on-the-floor rocker with a couple twists and turns.
Also, don't miss our show February 4 at the River Center in Davenport. We'll be opening for Hairball, a fantastic '80s rock tribute. We've been trying to put together a show with them for a year now...this is a event not to miss. See you out there!
UPDATE 12-21-11: Here we are, smack dab in the middle of the holiday season, and we have some great QC-area shows happening. We had a total blast last Thursday at the legendary RIBCO, we're at The Pub this Friday, and the RME Performance Hall January 7. Check our Shows page for details. Best wishes to everyone out there, see you soon!
UPDATE 9-24-11: The video for "Murder Your Memory" is live! Head over to our media page to watch it. The response so far has been stellar--thanks very much to Todd, Tabatha, and everyone who helped us out with the making of it. You're the best!
UPDATE 8-23-11: "Trust Fall" is out! you can buy the new 6-song ep on iTunes, Amazon, with the link below, or from us at any of our shows. We are very proud and excited to have this thing finally done, and we hope you enjoy it. Anyone who buys it is welcome to let us know what you think--good or bad.
UPDATE 7-3-11: The "Murder Your Memory" video shoot last Thursday went great! We spent a few hours filming ourselves playing the song over and over, and then we got some brilliant shots of you all acting crazy. Our director has taken a look at the footage, and he is excited about how the finished video is going to look. All we have left to do is some "plot" scenes. Since it is a break-up song, we need some visuals to reinforce the song's message. Thanks to everyone who came out to act crazy for the camera!
UPDATE 6-6-11: New track is up! We posted a teaser track, "Unoriginal Thoughts." It is a rough, unmastered mix, but should give you an idea of our direction and how the album is going to sound. Check it out at www.facebook.com/e11eventhhour. Let us know what you think!
UPDATE 5-4-11: I spent Sunday tracking guitars; all the heavy rhythm parts are done. I'm going to be doing solos and some other background parts at home, then it's time to lay down vocals and keys. Also, I have been talking to a local video producer about working with us on a video. We're going to be getting together with him soon to hash out some ideas and work on casting. Big weekend coming up, Uptown Bar in Bettendorf on the 13th, and Danceland in Davenport on the 14th with a bunch of other bands. Can't wait!
